Prix des Nations

Spruce Meadows

Calgary, AB --- The day’s feature event at the Spruce Meadows “Skyliner” Tournament was the 1.40m Paramount Resources Prix des Nations. The competition is run like a FEI Nations’ Cup, giving the Junior/Amateur athletes a chance to experience the international team competition.

Of the ten teams competing only six moved on to the second round. Each team was made up of four athletes and a Team Capitan. The team with the least amount of faults after two rounds was the Golden State Starrz. The winning team finished the event with a mere four faults. Their Team Capitan, Craig Starr was very impressed the way these young athletes were able to come together and win the difficult competition. “The kids worked really hard. Everyone rode well and everyone contributed,” said Starr after his teams win.
